Angelo Ferni (* 1845 ; † 1916 ) was an Italian violinist.

Ferni was the son of actress and singer Francesca Ferni and cellist Antonio Ferni . Together with his sister Teresa Ferni he was first taught by his father and was then a student of Giuseppe Gamba in Turin and Jean-Delphin Alard , Charles-Auguste de Bériot and Henri Vieuxtemps in Paris . In the 1850s he performed in Switzerland with his parents, sister Teresa and brother Giovanni Ferni . Another sister, Virginia Ferni-Germano , became known as a singer. The sisters Carolina Ferni-Giraldoni and Virginia Ferni-Teja , who were also known as violinists, were cousins ​​of Angelo Fernis.

In 1858 Angelo and Teresa Ferni were engaged at the Théâtre-Italien in Paris, where they performed successfully in the 1858-59 season. Both performed again in Switzerland in the 1860s. Her repertoire included French and Italian violin pieces, especially operatic paraphrases and works such as Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst's Carneval . Ferni later taught violin at the Naples Conservatory. His students included Alberto Curci and Franco Tufari . The composer Marco Enrico Bossi dedicated his Adagio in A flat major for organ and violin to him .
