Willi Sawall

Willi Sawall ( Willi Alfred Sawall; born November 7, 1941 ) is a former Australian walker .

At the World Athletics Championships in Malmö in 1976 , he came in 22nd place in the 50 km walk . In 1978 he won silver in the 30 km walk at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton .

At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, he was eighth in the 50 km walk .

In 1982 he was fourth in the 30 km walk at the Commonwealth Games in Brisbane , and in 1983 he came in 30 km at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 20 km walk .

At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he finished 16th in the 20 km walk and gave up after 15 km in the 50 km walk .

In 1986 he finished fifth in the 30km walk at the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh , and in 1987 he came in 26th place at the World Championships in Rome in 50km walk.
