The Balchunas Pass is a mountain pass in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . In the McCuddin Mountains it runs between Mount Flint and Mount Petras .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after Robert Charles Balchunas (1929-2010), who was responsible for supporting transport activities during the Deep Freeze operations in 1971, 1972 and 1973.
