The McCuddin Mountains are a small group of mountains that include a few scattered mountaintops and nunatakkers in addition to Mount Flint and Mount Petras . They are located about 65 km east of the Ames Range in Marie Byrd Land in western Antarctica .

Scientists from the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) discovered and photographed them during an overflight on December 14, 1940. The United States Geological Survey mapped them using their own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1959 and 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1974 after Rear Admiral Leo B. McCuddin (1917–1983), who was in command of the United States Navy Support Units in Antarctica in 1972.
