Aniekeme Alphonsus (born December 25, 1999 ) is a Nigerian sprinter .

Athletic career

Aniekeme Alphonsus gained her first international experience in 2015 at the Junior African Championships in Addis Ababa , where she won the silver medal in the 100 meter run in 11.83 seconds and bronze in the 200 meters in 24.19 seconds. She also won the Nigerian 4 x 100 meter relay in 44.83 s. At the subsequent Commonwealth Youth Games in Apia , she also secured silver and bronze over 100 and 200 meters and also won there with the relay in 45.86 s. The following year she retired from the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz with 11.85 s in the first round and did not start in the 200-meter run for a short time. In 2019 she took part in the Africa Games in Rabat for the first time, finishing eighth there in 11.78 s.

In 2017 Alphonsus became the Nigerian champion in the 100-meter run.
