Anita Burck
Anita Burck (born February 4, 1964 in Gersfeld ) is a German pop singer from Künzell .
Life and accomplishments
She suffered a motorcycle accident at the age of 16 and has been paralyzed in a wheelchair ever since.
She appeared in various television programs with folk pop music : Goldene Eins (ARD), Grand Prix of Folk Music (ZDF) and on MDR . There she reached first place in the MDR show Achim's hit parade several times . In 2002 she published a book called " Why I Never Gave Up ". She presented this at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
In 2004 ( I accompany your dreams ) and 2007 ( Where Children Laugh ) she qualified for the international finals of the Grand Prix of Folk Music .
In addition, she organizes benefit concerts in her home town every year, the proceeds of which she donates to disabled children or animal welfare work.
She is married and has a son.
