Anita Heiliger

Anita Heiliger (* 1942 in Berlin ) is a German social scientist and feminist .

Career

Anita Heiliger was born in 1942 as the daughter of the sculptors Ruth Linde-Heiliger and Bernhard Heiliger . After graduating from high school in 1963 and two years of development work in Israeli kibbutzim with the Action atonement , she studied sociology at the Free University of Berlin from 1965 to 1972 . Her thesis dealt with empirical studies on child rearing in the Israeli kibbutz. Until 1988 she worked as a social scientist at the German Youth Institute in Munich in the family policy department, from 1988 to 2006 in girls, women and gender research. In 1991 she was offered an empirical study on the subject of single parenting as liberation. Mother-child families as a positive form of socialization and as a social opportunity received a doctorate from the University of Tübingen .

In 1983 she was a co-founder of the Communication Center for Women on Work and Life (KOFRA) in Munich. Heiliger has been active in the autonomous women's movement since the early 1970s.

Contents and positions

Anita Heiliger has been grappling with issues relating to girls and women since the mid-1970s. Her publications focus on women and gender research, work with girls in child and youth welfare, domestic violence and sexual abuse , from around 2000 increasingly with pornography on the Internet and its effects on boys and girls. In particular, she discussed male violence against women and how it can be ended.
