Anja Domres

Anja Domres (born September 19, 1963 in Osnabrück ) is a German SPD politician and civil servant. She is deputy head of the Hamburg State Office for the Protection of the Constitution . From 2008 to 2014 she was a member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life and work

After graduating from high school (1984), Anja Domres studied law in Münster and Hamburg . She passed the first state examination in 1993 and the second state examination in 2005. Then she worked as a clerk in the social welfare office in Barmbek-Uhlenhorst. She later moved to the Hamburg tax authorities in the administrative reform department, where she helped develop the concept for social service centers. In 2007 Anja Domres took over the management of the basic social security and social security department in the Altona district office . Since August 2010 she has been head of the Hamburg pension office.

Anja Domres won the selection process for the position of Deputy Head of the Hamburg State Office for the Protection of the Constitution (LfV) and Head of the State Protection Department in the LfV. On August 1, 2014, she took office and resigned from her citizenship mandate.

Anja Domres was chairwoman of the working group of social democratic women in Hamburg from 2002 to 2006 . She has headed the SPD district of Eppendorf since 2006, and between 2004 and 2006 she was also a member of the SPD state executive. In February 2008, she was in the state election on the constituency Eppendorf Winterhude move as deputies to the Hamburg Parliament. There she was the specialist spokesperson for her group in the areas of health policy and consumer protection. She was able to defend her constituency mandate in the Hamburg state election in 2011 . Since then she has headed the health committee and was a member of the committees for home affairs and urban development.

Since April 2018, Domres has succeeded Peter Tschentscher as chairwoman of the SPD district north.

Private

Domres is married to the SPD parliamentary group leader of the district assembly in Hamburg-Nord .
