Anja Möllenbeck

Anja Möllenbeck (born March 18, 1972 in Frankenberg / Sa. As Anja Gündler ) is a former German discus thrower .

The European junior champion from 1991 was German champion in 1993 and fifth at the World Athletics Championships in Stuttgart .

At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, she was eleventh. In the same year she married her fellow discus thrower Michael Möllenbeck .

At the 1999 World Championships in Seville, she was twelfth, at the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton eighth.

She achieved her best length of 64.63 m on May 31, 1998 in Obersuhl .

After the birth of a daughter in 2002, she announced her retirement from competitive sports the following year.
