Ankan (carpenter)
Ankan (Numidian 'NKN), son of Aschai, was a Numidian carpenter. He was in the 2nd century BC. Active in Thugga .
Ankan is mentioned along with several other artists and craftsmen on a Numidian - Punic bilingual , which was found on a pillar tomb in Thugga . A Bban , probably an architect, the stonemasons ʿAbdarisch , Zimer and Managai , their assistants Zazai , Tamôn and Warsakan , the carpenter Masidil and the ironworkers Schafot and Papai are also listed on the bilingual .
