The Bistum Njombe ( lat. : Dioecesis Niombenus ) is an in Tanzania preferred Roman Catholic diocese based in Njombe .

history

The diocese of Njombe was on February 16, 1968 by Pope Paul VI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Sicut solliciti from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Iringa and the Territorial Abbey of Peramiho and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam as a suffragan . On November 18, 1987, the Diocese of Njombe was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Songea as a suffragan.
