Anke Simon (born March 31, 1963 in Frankenthal (Palatinate) ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Simon grew up in Frankenthal, Lambsheim and Ludwigshafen am Rhein . She left the Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium with the secondary school leaving certificate and was trained as a bank clerk at the Stadtsparkasse Ludwigshafen , a predecessor of the Sparkasse Vorderpfalz , between 1981 and 1983 . She worked there until 2011. Simon is married and has two children.

In 1993 Simon became a member of the SPD and was chairwoman of the Ludwigshafen-Mundenheim local association between 1998 and 2004. From 1994 to 2004 she was a member of the town council of Ludwigshafen-mouth home and is this since 2004 as local Head ago. In 2004 she was elected to the Ludwigshafen city council and is active as youth policy spokeswoman for the SPD city council group.

In the state elections in Rhineland-Palatinate in 2011 , she won the direct mandate in the Ludwigshafen am Rhein I constituency . Simon is a member of the Committee on Society, Integration and Consumer Protection and the Committee on Health, Care and Demography as well as being the spokeswoman for consumer and family policy for the SPD parliamentary group. Simon is a board member of AIDS-Hilfe Arbeitskreis Ludwigshafen eV and deputy chairwoman of the citizens' initiative for open youth work in Ludwigshafen (BIL). She is a member of the board of trustees of the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences and of the state advisory board for families. She is also active in several associations.
