Ankerherz publishing house
The anchor heart Verlag GmbH, located in the district Appel of Lower Saxony Samtgemeinde Hollenstedt is since 2007 existing German book publisher.
Founded anchor heart by the graphic designer Julia and the journalist Stefan crutches. Julia Krücken is now the managing director of the GmbH, Stefan Krücken is the publishing director. As of 2016, the Ankerherz program comprised around 40 titles.
The publishing program primarily includes biographies of “forgotten heroes” as well as books on the subject of the “sea”. One of the publisher's most successful books is "Storm Warning. The Exciting Life of Captain Jürgen Schwandt", the biography of Captain Jürgen Schwandt written by Stefan Krücken . The book reached number 9 on the Spiegel bestseller list.
In addition to its publishing activities, Ankerherz has its own stores in Hollenstedt, Bremerhaven and on Helgoland . The publisher also operates the Internet radio station Radio Ankerherz .
