Ann-Marie Frederika Ljungberg (born April 28, 1964 in Haparanda ) is a Swedish author .

Life

Ljungberg grew up in Piteå .

She has published five novels and one essay; she also translates literature from English and Norwegian. She was nominated for the August Prize for the novel Simone de Beauvoirs hjärta ("Simone de Beauvoirs Heart"; 2005) . She lives in Gothenburg and works as a freelance culture journalist and columnist . Since 2013 she has been married to the author and artistic director of the Gothenburg Theater, Björn Sandmark.

Ann-Marie Ljungberg translated three of Linn Ullmann's novels , among others . In 2014 she translated Jenny Nordberg's book The Underground Girls of Kabul - In search of a hidden resistance in Afghanistan into Swedish. In her philosophical-political essay I fallinjen. En essä om prekärfeminism ("The fall line. An essay on precarious feminism") (2015) Ljungberg developed a new term, "precarious feminism".
