Ann-Eli Tafjord (born July 28, 1976 in Ålesund ) is a former Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Tafjord, who started for Valldal IL, made her debut in Oslo in March 2003 in the cross-country skiing world cup and finished 41st place over 30 km freestyle. Her first race in the Continental Cup ran in December 2002 in Gaasbu , which she finished in 16th place in the sprint. In January 2004 she achieved her first podium in the Continental Cup with second place over 5 km freestyle in Valkeakoski . In the 2004/05 season she came in the Scandinavian Cup with two wins and a second place to second place in the overall standings. In March 2005 she won her first World Cup points in Lahti with 17th place over 10 km freestyle and in Oslo with 19th place over 30 km classic. The following year in Oslo she achieved her tenth and last individual World Cup appearance with tenth place in the 30 km freestyle, her best placement in the individual World Cup. At Norwegian championships she took third place over 30 km in 2003 and third place in the pursuit in 2004. In 2006 she became Norwegian champion over 30 km.
