Anna (Falkenstein)

Anna von Falkenstein (* before 1353 , † 1420 ) was a member of the Hessian noble Falkenstein family .

Anna was the daughter of Philip VI. von Falkenstein (* around 1320; † before August 6, 1373) and his wife Anna von Katzenelnbogen (* unknown, † 1353). According to the marriage contract of August 6, 1374, she was married to Gottfried von Rieneck (* unknown, † February 10, 1389) and then, according to the marriage contract of August 28, 1390, to Günther XVIII. (XXVII.), Herr zu Schwarzburg and Stadtilm (* unknown, † between June 13, 1397 and December 10, 1399).

Anna von Falkenstein lived at Hayn Castle in Dreieichenhain . She is considered to be the founder of the Gothic church in Offenthal . The church was donated around 1400 and is one of the oldest churches in the Offenbach district .
