Anna Bikont

Anna Bikont (born Anna Krystyna Kruczkowska July 17, 1954 in Warsaw ) is a Polish journalist and writer .

Life

Anna Kruczkowska is a daughter of the Polish journalist Wilhelmina Skulska-Kruczkowska (1918–1998). She was married to the actor Piotr Bikont (1955-2017) with whom she has two children. She studied psychology . In the 1980s, Bikont was associated with Solidarność and worked for the underground newspaper Tygodnik Mazowsze from 1982 to 1989 . In 1989 she was a co-founder of Gazeta Wyborcza . She received an honorary doctorate from the University of Gothenburg in 2017 .
