Anna Dello Russo (born April 16, 1962 in Bari ) is an Italian fashion journalist and author .

Life

Dello Russo is the daughter of a psychiatrist and a naturalist; she has a brother and a sister. Her parents supported her fashion career. She became interested in fashion from an early age . When she was 12, she asked her father about a " Fendi set" that consisted of a handbag, scarf, umbrella, handkerchief, wallet, and keychain. This started her passion for collecting fashion and jewelry.

Dello Russo studied Italian literature and art history at the University of Bari and completed her Masters in Fashion at the Domus Academy in Milan . She was hired by Condé Nast for Vogue Italy , where she worked for 18 years under Franca Sozzani .

She has been a creative consultant and editor for Vogue Japan since 2006 . In 2006 she left her position as Creative Director of L'uomo Vogue to work as a freelance creative consultant. She finally returned to Condé Nast in 2007 as Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Japan . She started her own fashion blog in 2010 . She is known worldwide in the fashion industry for her eccentric street style.

Private

She was married for a little over a month in 1996 before divorcing again. The reason for the divorce was that she had no space in the closet for her husband's belongings.
