Anna Grabka

Anna Grabka (* 1961 in Stettin ) is a Polish ballerina , ballet master and choreographer .

Life

Grabka received her first ballet lessons at the age of six, at the age of 10 she came to the National Ballet School in Warsaw and made her debut at the age of 11 in the role of Klara at the Warsaw National Theater Teatr Wielki in The Nutcracker . From 1980 to 1985 she was a solo dancer in the ballet of the National Theater in Warsaw. During this time, she completed a training in ballet pedagogy at the Fryderyk Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw, where, after five years of study, she wrote a master's thesis in dance pedagogy ( exercises in the areas of pelvic floor gymnastics, yoga, stretching, Pilates, barre à terre for recovery of the form and condition of the classical dancer after childbirth ).

From 1985 to 2001 Anna Grabka worked as the first soloist with the Hamburg Ballet of the Hamburg State Opera under the direction of John Neumeier . From 2001 she worked as a guest solo dancer and ballet master with the Hamburg Ballet.

In addition to her practical work as a ballet master, Grabka is also an academic. Since 2000 she has also been a visiting professor at the Music Academy in Warsaw. Since the beginning of 2007 she has been working as a ballet master and coach at the Royal Swedish Ballet .

As a visiting teacher, she teaches with various ballet groups in the EU. a. at Royal Swedish Ballet, English National Ballet, Bayerische Staatsoper, Northern Ballet Theater, Dance Company Stefan Thoss, Finnish National Ballet, Het National and Gotheborg Oper.

Anna Grabka is divorced and has two children.
