Anna Ivanovna Kaaleste , born in Muchina ( Russian Анна Ивановна Каалесте, Мухина ; born January 17, 1930 in Pargolowo ; † July 16, 2014 in St. Petersburg ) was a Soviet cross-country skier .

Kaaleste, who started for Dynamo Leningrad , took part in the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo . She ran in ninth place over 10 km. A year earlier she took seventh place over 10 km at the Lahti Ski Games . At Soviet championships she won seven times with the relay (1953, 1955, 1960-1963, 1966). In addition, she was second in 1954 and third in the season in 1964 and 1965. In 1955 she came in third place over 5 km. After her career she worked in Leningrad from 1967 to 1972 as a trainer at the sports school and from 1972 to 1986 as a teacher at the university. She was married to the canoeist and biathlon trainer Mihhail Kaaleste .
