The HK Dynamo St. Petersburg (1946-1971 Dynamo Leningrad , Russian Хоккейный клуб Динамо Санкт-Петербург ) is a Russian ice hockey club from Saint Petersburg . Between 1946 and 1954 he participated in the top division of the Soviet Union in part, the Klass A . The association was dissolved in 1971 and only re-established in 2013.
history
The club was founded in 1946 and included in Class A. The club's best placement was achieved in the 1947/48 season, when the team finished the championship in fifth place. In 1954 Dynamo was relegated from the first division and played in Class B and the Leningrad City Championship until the club was dissolved in 1971. The club also took part in the Soviet cup competition several times .
In 2013 the club was revived on the basis of the youth club SDJuSchOR Dynamo Saint Petersburg and immediately put a team in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League . The club has also been running a women's team since 2013, which has played in the top women's ice hockey league, the Schenskaya Hockey League , since 2015 .
For the 2016/17 season, Dynamo's newly formed men's team was accepted into the second Russian division, the Vysschaya Hockey League . The Dynamo youth and men's teams acted as farm teams for HK Sochi . A cooperation with HK Witjas was started for the 2017/18 season .
