Anna Marta Jesień (born Olichwierczuk ; born December 10, 1978 in Sokołów Podlaski ) is a former Polish athlete who was successful in the 400-meter hurdles between 1999 and 2012 and later in the 4-by-400-meter relay . Her greatest success is the bronze medal on the hurdles course at the 2007 World Championships .

Athletic career

Jesień is a 400 meter hurdle runner who was Polish champion five times between 1999 and 2005 . Since July 1, 2005, it has held the Polish national record with 53.96 s. At the European Athletics Championships in Munich in 2002 , she won the bronze medal.

She also starts in the 4 x 400 meter relay of the Polish national athletics team and also won a bronze medal here at the European Championships in 2002. After her national record in July 2005, she advanced to the top of the world and reached the final of the 2005 World Athletics Championships in Helsinki with the third-fastest time in the semi-finals. In the final, she finally came fourth. A result that she was able to repeat a day later with the 4 x 400 meter relay. The Polish relay team was only 0.05 seconds short of the bronze medal. At the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 , she ran over the 400 meter hurdles to sixth place and won the bronze medal as the final runner in the Polish 4-times-400-times relay.

Anna Jesień took part in the Olympic Games twice ( 2000 in Sydney and 2004 in Athens ).

Anna Jesień had a competition weight of 56 kg with a height of 1.68 m.
