Anna Maria Monticelli

Anna Maria Monticelli (* 1952 in Tangier , Morocco ; also Anna Jemison ) is an actress , screenwriter and film producer .

Life

Monticelli is known for her role as Marie Colbert in the television series Sky Trackers (1994) and has also appeared in other series such as Carson's Law (1983), In a Secret Mission (1988) and Home and Away (2002). Films she starred in include The Dark Room (1982), In the Heat of Anger (1982), Smash Palace - No Chance for Al (1982), My First Wife (1984), Silver City (1984), One Dead Know Too Much (1985), Nomads - Death Out of Nowhere (1986), The Edge of Power (1987), and White Collar Blue (2002).

In 1984 she won the Australian Film Institute Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role Anna in Silver City . She also worked as a screenwriter and film producer in the films Die Schöne Spanierin (2001) and Schande (2008). For the latter, she received the Australian Writer's Guild Award (AWGIE Award) in 2008 and the Film Critics Circle of Australia Award (FCCA Award) in the category Best Adapted Screenplay in 2009 .

She was married to director Steve Jacobs.
