Anna Maria Tarantola Ronchi (born February 3, 1945 in Casalpusterlengo , Lombardy ) is an Italian manager.

Life

Tarantola graduated from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan in 1969 and graduated from the London School of Economics in 1971 .

From 1996 to 2006 she was director of the Varese, Brescia and Bologna branches of the Banca d'Italia . From 2007 to 2012 she was General Manager at Banca d'Italia. In 2009 from 2015 she was President of Rai - Radiotelevisione Italiana . In 2014/16 Tarantola was Vice President of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) . Since 2017 she has been a consultant at the investment company Gruppo Mittel in Milan.

Until 2002 she was Adjunct Professor at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, teaching monetary economics, banking and public control over the credit system.

Anna Maria Tarantola is committed to the Pontifical Foundation Centesimus Annus Pro Pontifice (CAPP) based in the State Secretariat of the Vatican ; since 2019 she has been president of this papal institution. In addition, she is committed to the Fondazione Bambin Gesù , Fondazione Giorgio Cini and the PosteInsieme Onlus . She is president of the Italian section of the Legion of Honor (Société des Mémbres de la Légion d'Honnueur).
