Anna Montanaro

Anna Montanaro (born November 2, 1973 in Gifhorn ) is one of the most famous German musical performers . After Hildegard Knef and Ute Lemper , she was the third German artist to be cast in a leading role on Broadway.

biography

Childhood and youth

Anna Montanaro was born in Gifhorn . Her parents ran a restaurant there. It was clear to Anna early on that she wanted to go on stage. She gained her first musical experience as a choir singer, she took ballet lessons and was a successful gymnast as a child.

education

After finishing school, Anna Montanaro went to Hamburg, where she received a place at the renowned Stage School . There she received her extensive three-year training as a musical actress .

First leading roles

Immediately after graduating from Stage School, Anna Montanaro was hired for her first leading roles. So she played as Sandy in the production of the musical Grease at the Capitol Theater Düsseldorf. One of her star roles, Velma Kelly in the musical Chicago , played Anna Montanaro both in London and on Broadway. This also made her internationally known.
