Anna Mosegaard
Anna Mosegaard , née Sachse, (born January 2, 1881 in Nordhausen , † March 26, 1954 in Hadersleben ) was a German politician and writer.
Life
Anna Mosegaard was a daughter of the brewery worker Christoph Sachse (* 1844; † 1884) and his wife Dorothee, née Machlitt (* 1850; † 1903). She spent childhood and youth in an orphanage and then worked as a tobacco worker. In 1901 she married the tobacco spinner Johann Mosegaard (* 1880 in Hadersleben; † 1943 there), with whom she had a daughter and two sons. She ended her professional activity with her motherhood.
The Mosegaard couple became involved in the social democratic labor movement . In 1919 Anna Mosegaard won a mandate for the constituent Prussian state assembly for the SPD , which she did not take up. From 1913 she lived in Silkeborg , then, with brief interruptions, in Hadersleben. In 1932 her marriage to Johann Mosegaard was divorced.
Working as a writer
Moosegard wrote particularly for social democratic media. Her articles appeared, for example, in the Schleswig-Holsteinische Volkszeitung , the Landpost, Det røde Postbud, the Norddeutsche Volksstimme, Equality or Vorwärts . Your contributions were entertaining and in part remarkable. This was especially true for her reports on childhood in the orphanage, working conditions and national differences in the German-Danish border region.
In her writings on social issues, she clearly sided with the workers. In national conflicts, she stressed that it was necessary for Germans and Danes to reconcile and wrote that the workers had already achieved this. She designed large parts of her contributions semi-biographically. This applies in particular to several manuscripts that she no longer published before the end of her life. This includes the play Herbststürme, which was shown in Hadersleben in the 1920s .
In addition to this work, Moosegard designed many fairy tale games, which often dealt with general social topics.
