Anna Piaggi (2007)

Anna Piaggi (* 1931 in Milan ; † August 7, 2012 ibid) was an Italian fashion journalist and "Lagerfeld muse".

Life

Piaggi first worked as a translator at Mondadori Publishing and worked as a fashion journalist from the early 1960s. She later became editor of the women's magazine Ariadne and began writing for the fashion magazine Vogue in the 1970s .

In the 1980s, Karl Lagerfeld chose Piaggi as his muse . In 2006 the Victoria and Albert Museum in London dedicated an exhibition to her in which 265 pairs of shoes and 2,865 of her clothes were on display.

Piaggi was married to photographer Alfa Castaldi , who died in 1995.
