Anna Simon (born January 6, 1862 in Berlin ; † after 1924) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Live and act

Anna Simon was born in 1862 as the daughter of an apprentice tailor. After attending the Hedwig School in Berlin, she worked as a crank stepper until 1908. In the 1880s she began to get involved in the labor movement: she took part in the founding of the Association of Crank Steppers, of which she was second chairman from 1900 to 1904, and was active in the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). In August 1911, Simon became a member of the district board of her party's regional group in Westhavelland .

On January 1, 1908, Simon became a board member of the Berlin branch of the textile workers' association . On November 1, 1908, she became an employee of the textile workers' association, for which she worked in Forst until April 1, 1911 and then in Brandenburg . From March 1, 1916 to January 1, 1919, Simon worked as an accounting officer for the People's Welfare Service in Brandenburg.

From January 1919 to June 1920, Simon was a member of the Weimar National Assembly as a member of constituency 2 ( West Prussia ). She then sat in the Prussian state parliament from 1921 to 1924 .
