Anna of Dorsweiler-Criechingen
Anna von Dorsweiler-Criechingen († June 23, 1524 ) was the abbess of Nottuln Abbey .
Life
Anna von Dorsweiler-Criechingen was born the sixth of fourteen children of nobleman Johann IV von Dorsweiler zu Criechingen and his wife Margaretha von Bacourt.
She first entered the Gerresheim monastery and then moved to the Nottuln monastery , where she was still registered as prioress on June 28, 1482 and was named abbess on October 31, 1482. In 1493 she achieved the conversion of the Augustinian monastery into a free worldly women's monastery. One of Anna's main achievements was the building of the new monastery church.
