Anna of Württemberg (1513–1530)
Anna von Württemberg (born January 30, 1513 in the Old Castle in Stuttgart , † June 29, 1530 in Urach ) was the daughter of Duke Ulrich von Württemberg and his wife Sabina of Bavaria .
biography
In November 1515, shortly after the birth of her younger brother Christoph , her mother fled from her husband to the court of her parents in Munich. The two children initially stayed with their father in Stuttgart. When the Swabian Federation mobilized against Duke Ulrich, he brought his children to Hohentübingen Castle .
Anna died unmarried in 1530. Some sources indicate that she died of the plague that raged in Stuttgart in 1530. But it was also suspected that she was poisoned. She was buried in Güterstein and in 1554 transferred to the collegiate church of St. Georg in Tübingen .
