Annahof (Nörvenich)
The Annahof is an estate that is located in Nörvenich in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Düren on the street Am Annahof .
In 1630 Johann Otto Freiherr von Gymnich received numerous possessions in Nörvenich and the surrounding area by donation . This also included the property, which is now called Am Annahof , on which the Obere Mühle stands. At what time the mill was built cannot be determined, probably in the middle of the 17th century after the Goirshof near Hochkirchen , also called Stockemer Hof, burned down.
Almost all of the millers of the upper mill have been traceable since 1648 . In the church registers they often appear with the addition "upper miller"; Molitor, Molitor Superior = upper miller, miller to the Lord zu Vischeln = baron von Gymnich. Some of their names can also be found on historical grave crosses in the churchyard. The names and dates that can be determined from the documents are (given in abbreviated form):

From around the middle of the 19th century the focus of the company shifted to agriculture . In the end, only fodder meal was produced in the mill for personal use. After the Barons von Gymnich died out in 1823, the mill and farm came to the Count Wolff Metternich by marriage and then to the Viscounts de Maistre by marriage. in the 1970s the property was sold to non-noble owners.
Today the Annahof is used as a riding stables .
