Anne Chebu

Anne Chebu (* 1987 in Nuremberg ) is a German journalist , television presenter and book author .

biography

Chebu attended the Wilhelm Löhe School in Nuremberg and after graduating from high school , studied multimedia and communication at the university in Ansbach . Then she went to Hamburg and completed a traineeship at NDR . During her studies and afterwards, she gained journalistic experience in various media, including in the editorial team of on3-südwild . Until 2016 she worked as a TV journalist and presenter in Hamburg (NDR) and Baden-Baden ( SWR ). On February 7, 2016, she made her debut as a TV presenter for the Frankenschau des Bayerischen Rundfunks.

In 2014, Unrast Verlag published her book Instructions for Black Being , in which she combined practical help with life with an Afro-German history course. From blackfacing in carnival to jokes, it guides you through everyday racism and how you can deal with it. Her target group is not only other black Germans, but also their non-black parents, friends and teachers. In 2015 the book was launched as an e-book .

Since July 2016, Anne Chebu has been the sponsor of the Wilhelm Löhe School in Nuremberg as part of the School Without Racism - School with Courage campaign .
