The Sunday show Frankenschau is a regional program on BR Fernsehen Nord , which is broadcast every Sunday from 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. from the Studio Franken in Nuremberg .

Content and topics

Every Sunday BR television broadcasts this program “from francs for francs”. There is information and entertainment from the region for 45 minutes. Two short message blocks per broadcast, called Review , provide an overview of regional events from the previous week.

From October 1, 1978, the program later renamed Frankenschau was broadcast on Sundays under the title Frankenchronik under the direction of Manfred Boos . Since then, more than 1,300 episodes have been broadcast.

While the program Frankenschau is broadcast on BR Fernsehen Nord, the program Schwaben & Altbayern is broadcast at the same time on BR Fernsehen Süd .

Also on weekdays there is a regional broadcast from Studio Franken, the Frankenschau aktuell .
