Anne Holm
Anne Holm , née Else Annelise Jørgensen (born September 10, 1922 in Oksbøl ; † December 27, 1998 ) was a Danish journalist and author of books for young people . She spent part of her life in the United States and also wrote under the pen name Adrien de Chandelle . She was married to JC Holm since 1949.
Her books are mostly for 8 to 16 year olds, but some are also for adults. Her best-known book is David (1963), which later appeared in German under the title Ich bin David and was filmed in 2004 under the direction of Paul Feig .
Her other works, such as The Sky Grew Red or The Hostage, are currently only available in Danish and English.
