Paul Feig
Paul Feig (born September 17, 1962 in Royal Oak , Michigan ) is an American actor , screenwriter , director , producer and writer .
Life
Feig grew up in Mount Clemens , Michigan. He graduated from Chippewa Valley High School in 1980. In 1984 he graduated from the USC School of Cinema-Television. After his studies, Feig first appeared as a comedian and was seen in various films and series in supporting roles, for example in the role of Eugene Poole in the first season of Sabrina - Totally Verhext! .
In 1999, Feig developed and wrote the short-lived television series Voll daneben, voll im Leben (1999–2000), which, despite good reviews, was discontinued before the entire first season was broadcast. In the series produced by Judd Apatow , actors and comedians such as Seth Rogen , James Franco and Jason Segel had their first major roles. The series gained cult status over time and was included in Time Magazine's list of the 100 Best TV Shows of All Time. In 2001, Feig directed Apatow's next series American Campus - Ready for Uni? which only ran for one season.
In 2011, Feig's comedy Bridal Alarm was a surprise hit with both critics and the box office. There were other comedies with actress Melissa McCarthy , for its role in Bridesmaids 2012 as best supporting actress for an Oscar nomination. He also worked with McCarthy on Taffe Girls (2013), Spy - Susan Cooper Undercover (2015) and Ghostbusters (2016). Feig also wrote the script for the last two. He also wrote the screenplay for Mein Bester & Ich , the US remake of the French comedy Pretty Best Friends , with Bryan Cranston and Kevin Hart .
