Anne Maltais (born September 26, 1979 in Québec ) is a former Canadian short tracker .

She began speed skating and short track at the age of five, and later trained under Sébastien Cros at the performance center in Montreal . In 1997 Maltais played their first international championship. At the Junior World Championships she was 13th in the all-around competition and eighth in the 500 m. A year later she made her debut in the World Cup, but it was only since the 2002/03 season that she started regularly in World Cup races. Her international breakthrough finally came in the 2006/07 season . In the World Cup, she reached a semi-finals several times in individual races over 500 m and 1000 m, with the relay she achieved two podium places, including a victory in her hometown of Montreal. At the world championship in Milan she won bronze with the relay as well as at the team world championship in Budapest . In the following 2007/08 season , she was able to reach semi-finals in individual races again several times in the World Cup. At the team world championships in Harbin , she repeated winning the bronze medal with her teammates and was also successful again with the relay at the world championship , this time she won the silver medal. In their last season, 2008/09 , Maltais was able to take three more podium places in World Cup relay races, including their second World Cup victory. In individual races she again reached two semi-finals, but could not qualify for a final. At the team world championship in Heerenveen , Maltais was fourth this time, at the world championship in Vienna she was part of the Canadian relay that won bronze, but Maltais was not used in the final. After the season she ended her active career.

Maltais studied Food Technology and Nutrition Science at Laval University .
