Anne Van Lancker (born March 4, 1954 in Temse ) is a Belgian politician ( sp.a ).

After a licentiate in work sociology and a specialist license in social law, Van Lancker started as a research assistant at the Labor Institute and then became an assistant for work sociology at the Catholic University of Leuven and head of the scientific service at the SEVI Study and Documentation Center.

Van Lancker worked for the Socialist Group in the Belgian Chamber of Deputies at the end of the 1980s , then became Assistant Head of Cabinet of the Flemish Minister for Employment and was then Head of Cabinet of the Flemish Minister for Employment, who later became Minister for Employment and Social Affairs. In 1994 she was elected to the party executive committee and in 1999 to the executive committee of the SP (today sp.a). Since 1995 she has been a member of the party council in Ghent and a member of the East Flanders Province Administration . In 1999 she became the chairwoman of the women's organization sp.a, zij-kant . From 1994 to 2009 she was a member of the European Parliament .
