Annemarie Lindner

Annemarie Lindner (born September 22, 1920 in Berlin-Charlottenburg ; † February 18, 2016 ) was a German natural cosmetician. She was an entrepreneur and co-founder of Börlind GmbH and is considered a pioneer in natural cosmetics .

Life

In 1947 she began training as a beautician in Dresden , motivated by the use of herbs on her own problematic skin.

After completing her training, she sold natural cosmetic products all over Germany. In 1958, she and her husband Walter Lindner fled to Calw in West Germany, where they founded the Börlind company with Hermann Börner in 1959. Annemarie Lindner was managing director until 1985.

Annemarie Lindner was the first German beautician to develop a natural cosmetic care series for various skin types . Her credo was: "What I can't eat, I don't put on my skin!"

In 2010 the Nagold Home Economics School was renamed the Annemarie Lindner School . The namesake should serve as a role model and create a new identification for the school.

Annemarie Lindner died in February 2016 at the age of 95.

Awards

Annemarie Lindner received many well-known international awards during her lifetime, including:

  • 2005: "Natural Legacy Award" for her life's work, "Oscar" for the American natural goods industry
  • 2009: Beautyworld Cup of the perfumery industry in recognition of her life's work
  • 2010: Order of Merit of the State of Baden-Württemberg for entrepreneurial success and worldwide social, sustainable commitment
  • 2011: "LebensWerk" honorary award from neuform Vereinigung deutscher Reformhaus eG
  • 2011: Maurice Lacroix Business Award to honor your life's work
