Annette Baumeister

Annette Baumeister is a German director and journalist . She lives and works in Berlin and Los Angeles.

Life

Baumeister comes from Westerheim , a village in the Swabian Alb. She studied contemporary history, economic and social history and German literature in Augsburg, Grenoble and Munich. During her studies she worked in French, American and German archives. From 2000 to 2002 she completed a television internship at the Spiegel TV subsidiary Story House Productions.

Baumeister has been working as a freelance writer and director for German and international television stations since 2003. Her work focuses on thoroughly researched documentation. Your documentary "Stasi in the schoolyard" (WDR / MDR) from 2012 caused a stir in Germany.
