Annette Uphaus-Wehmeier

Annette Uphaus-Wehmeier (born June 8, 1955 ) is a German communication scientist and lecturer at the University of Hamburg .

life and work

Uphaus-Wehmeier studied communication science , political science and sociology at the University of Münster , where she received her doctorate in 1982. Then she worked for the German Press Agency , the Federal Association of German Newspaper Publishers and the Johanniter Accident Aid . From 2000 to 2002 she was a lecturer at the University of Hamburg. In 2002 she was appointed professor for public relations and communication at the Hanover University of Applied Sciences (today: University of Hanover ) . She stayed there until she returned to the University of Hamburg as a lecturer in 2011.

In addition to her academic work, she is active as a communications consultant.
