Annie Pelletier (born December 22, 1973 in Montreal ) is a former Canadian water diver . She started in jumping from the 1-meter and 3-meter board. Her greatest successes include winning one bronze medal each at the Olympic Games and the World Swimming Championships .
Pelletier was initially active in a gymnastics club, but switched to diving when he was 13. She jumped for the club CAMO Natation Montreal and was trained there by Donald Dionne. Pelletier experienced her international breakthrough in 1994. At the World Championships in Rome she won bronze from the 1-meter board and also won the 1-meter and 3-meter title at the Commonwealth Games in Victoria . The following year Pelletier was also able to win a title at the Pan American Games in Mar del Plata . She won gold from the 3-meter board and silver from the 1-meter board. Pelletier celebrated her greatest sporting success at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta . As 17th of the preliminaries she barely reached the semifinals, as 12th of the semifinals only barely the final, where she then convinced and won the bronze medal.
Pelletier achieved a total of seven national titles. After the Olympic Games in 1996, she ended her active career. As the coordinator of a sports foundation in Québec and as a TV expert, she stayed on in a different role.
