Annika Granström (born March 24, 1971 in Hallstahammar ) is a former Swedish volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career indoor volleyball

Granström played in her youth at Kolbäcks VK. With Sollentuna VK, the outside attacker became Swedish champion in 1995. After a season with her home club in Kolbäck, Granström played for KFUM Örebro for several years and won the Swedish championship five times in a row. With Örebro she also played in the qualifying round of the European Champions League in 1999 and reached the quarter-finals of the European Top Teams Cup in 2001 .

Granström also played 78 times for the Swedish national team .

Career beach volleyball

In 1998, Granström also played beach volleyball with Jessica Enberg on the FIVB World Tour , but without reaching any of the top placements. In 2002 and 2003 she played alongside Angelica Ljungqvist and was twice Swedish champion. The best result on the World Tour was a ninth place in 2002 at the Stavanger Open. The two Swedes also took part in the 2002 European Championships in Basel and the 2003 World Championships in Rio de Janeiro .
