Annika Marie Sprink

Annika Marie Sprink (born October 20, 1995 in Neuss ) is a German national hockey player .

Life

Annika Marie Sprink made her debut in June 2013 in the German national youth team. At the U18 European Championships in 2013, she finished second with the German team. On May 6, 2015, she played her first game in the senior national team . She has played a total of 24 international matches so far. At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , she was seriously injured in the semifinals against the Netherlands and after her cruciate ligament rupture was unable to play in the game for third place, but was there as a spectator and also attended the award ceremony.

Like her teammates, she received the Silver Laurel Leaf on November 1, 2016 .

Annika Marie Sprink plays like Selin Oruz and Lisa Marie Schütze for the Düsseldorfer HC , in 2015 she won the German championship in indoor hockey with the Düsseldorferinnen.

Her mother Elke was also a national hockey player and Olympic participant in 1984.

As part of the research competition Jugend forscht , Sprink supervises the young researchers on behalf of Bayer AG.
