Annius was the gentile name of a Roman plebeian dynasty , which began in the 2nd century BC. Increased political prominence and provided several consuls . During the imperial era , the name was widespread, there were several branches of the family, from which two emperors emerged: Marcus Aurelius and Florianus . Significant representatives were:
