With the presidential order on rank designation and uniform of soldiers ( BPräsUnifAnO ) regulates in Germany the Federal President , the grade names and the principles of rank insignia and appearance of the uniforms of the soldiers of the Bundeswehr .

For this purpose, the arrangement is divided into two articles:

The article 1 defines the grade designations of the officers (Section I), NCOs (Section II) and teams (Section III).

The Article 2 defines the basic look of the uniforms of the army in two paragraphs:

  • Paragraph 1, which basically regulates the general identification and how to wear it (Section I), the types of suits (Section II) and the rank badges (Section III), and
  • Paragraph 2, which entrusts the Federal Minister of Defense with the further design of the soldiers' uniforms - implemented by the latter in the Central Service Regulation A2-2630 / 0-0-5 Dress Code for the Soldiers of the Bundeswehr .
