Anousch Mueller

Anousch Mueller (born December 8, 1979 in Erfurt ) is a German writer .

Life

Anousch Mueller studied Modern German Literature at the Free University of Berlin and Jewish Studies at the University of Potsdam. She completed her studies with a thesis on Adalbert Stifter .

In 2009 Mueller started training as a naturopath . After disillusioning experiences at a Berlin school for alternative practitioners, she published the report on white bread against cancer in the Süddeutsche Zeitung in 2015 . In May 2016 the non-fiction book Unheilpraktiker - How alternative practitioners play with our health was published by Riemann-Verlag (Random House). Since April 2016 Mueller has been a member of the Society for the Scientific Investigation of Parasciences (GWUP) and a supporter of the INH (Information Network Homeopathy), which deals critically with homeopathy .

She is married, has two sons and lives with her family in Berlin-Pankow.

Her debut novel Brandstatt was published by the CHBeck publishing house in 2013 and was awarded the Jürgen Ponto Foundation's literature prize. At € 15,000, the prize is one of the most highly endowed literary awards in Germany. With a modified excerpt from the novel, she took part in the 2013 reading competition for the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize in Klagenfurt.
