Ansano Giannarelli

Ansano Giannarelli (born June 10, 1933 in Viareggio , † August 26, 2011 in Rome ) was an Italian documentary filmmaker .

Life

Giannarelli first worked for the film as early as 1954/1955: he was assistant director and was involved in editing two of Mario Monicelli's works . A few years later he started working as a documentary filmmaker. His debut 16 October 1943 was the first of a long series of works up into the 1990s; Several times he mixed documentary with staged parts, for example in Sierra Maestra , his only work performed in German-speaking countries. Very occasionally he tried his hand at pure feature films; after participating in the collective work I misteri di Roma , Remake appeared in 1987 , which was shot during the Locarno Film Festival .

Giannarelli was also involved in the Circolo del Cinema Charles Chaplin, was a member of the Executive Board of the ANAC and taught at DAMS in Bologna from 1996 to 1999 .
