Anse Chastanet ( French for "Small Bay of Chastenet", possibly after the French family name) is a small bay with black sand on the West Indian island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean . The beach is located in the southwest of the island on one of the westernmost land tips, northwest of Soufrière . There is also a hotel named after the beach.
A short distance away is the even smaller Anse Mamin beach , which can be reached by a hiking trail or by boat.
