Anselmi is an Italian family name of Longobard origin.

It was first mentioned in 802 when Charlemagne knighted the 24-year-old progenitor Anselmo de 'Fighineldi (of Winild's sons) in Florence. The descendants of Anselmo first called themselves d'Anselmo and from 980 Anselmi.
