Anselmo Lorenzo Asperilla (born April 21, 1841 in Toledo , † November 30, 1914 in Barcelona ) was a Spanish anarchist and trade unionist.

Lorenzo is also known as the "grandfather of Spanish anarchism "; Murray Bookchin said that Anselmo Lorenzo's "contribution to the spread of anarchist ideas in Barcelona and Andalusia was enormous." With Giuseppe Fanelli and others he founded the first Spanish sections of the International Workers' Association in 1868 and in 1910 co-founded the Confederación Nacional del Trabajo (CNT) and, together with Francisco Ferrer , editor of the anarcho-syndicalist newspaper La Huelga General .

In 1914 he was buried on the Cementiri de Montjuïc .
